<Artist Statement
I seek to capture with my artwork glimpses of the fascinating cultures and diverse landscapes that I have encountered in many different areas of the world.  My hope is that the viewers of my art will be transported and begin to see the world with a greater appreciation and respect.  In expanding their worldview, they will notice the hurting people and ecosystems around them and begin to invest in more than themselves.

<Biography
I grew up at Camp Mantowagan near Saxton, Pennsylvania and graduated from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana in 2002 with a B.S. in Painting and Drawing.  My work has been exhibited in various galleries and exhibits including the Mount Memorial Art Gallery (Winona Lake, IN), the Huntingdon County Arts Festival (Huntingdon, PA), the Warsaw Community Public Library (Warsaw, IN) the S. Gerald Weaver Gallery (Martinsburg, PA) the Tea Merchant (Hollidaysburg, PA) and Q-Cafe (Seattle, WA).

I am an instructor of painting, drawing, guitar, and piano, as well as being a wilderness/adventure guide.  I enjoy expressing my passion for travel, nature, and people of various cultures through my painting and drawing. I live with my husband, Eric Long, in Seattle, WA.
